Why your blog is still not ranking on the first page of Google
Every blogger tries one’s best to get themselves ranked on the first page of Google. SEO anking[อันดับ seo, which is the term in Thai] depends on a number of factors. You have to do all of them right in order to improve your rank. You do one of them wrong and your rank might drop. There are some black hat techniques as well but you may get penalized if Google finds out about it.
Factors that affect SEO
SEO can be determined with many factors. Some of them are:
- Link building
These three are the major factors in SEO. Now you might be doing all three of them but your rank is still not increasing.
What you might be doing wrong
You might be doing things wrong like keyword stuffing or PBN (private blogging network). These are black hat methods.
One of the most common mistakes done by people is not using the right keywords. If you target for broad keywords, you will not rank easily.
What are different types of keywords?
There are basically two types of keywords:
- Broad keywords – These are mostly one word like cars, coffee, t-shirts, etc.
- Longtail keywords – These are keywords with at least 3-5 words like second hand cars in Bangkok, coffee shop nearby, kids t-shirt online, etc.
What mistake you been doing
You might be trying to rank for broad keywords. These keywords have high competition and top spots are usually occupied by big companies. You cannot rank for cars.
What you can do to rank then
Go with the longtail keywords. Longtail keywords are great. They have less competition and that’s why they are easy to rank with. Instead of using just ‘cars’ you may use something to make the keyword more specific like ‘used cars in Bangkok’. It will also help you target the right people in your niche.
